Holly Grove Middle School Media Center Student Conduct Policy
Purpose
In order to maintain an environment in the Media Center that supports and nurtures the educational, emotional, and recreational needs of the Holly Grove Middle School community, the following patron conduct is expected.
Policy Statement
The Media Center is a place for study and research, among other things, and therefore, excessive noise that distracts students and prevents them from working is not permitted. While complete silence is not expected, loud behavior that proves disruptive will be addressed.
Everything in the Media Center belongs to the Holly Grove Middle School community and is shared accordingly. Out of respect for all users, theft will not be tolerated.
Because of potential damage to books, computers, audiovisual equipment, and the furniture/carpet, eating and drinking is not permitted in the Media Center unless approved by Media Center Staff. Food and drinks brought into the Media Center must remain in lunch bags and/or book bags.
Students sent to the Media Center to complete assignments or take tests are asked to sit away from classes and not to talk to other students.
